Wes Bentley There are many things that are loved right now, but there are a few items that helped shape who he is today.
“I’m obsessed with (the book) The Tao of Fu“, the Yellowstone Actor, 46, reveals in the latest issue of Us Weeklyy. “I know it’s a little cheesy, but (it) changed my life.”
Bentley explains this before picking up the philosophical read by Benjamin HoffHe was a “tempered kid” who had an “attitude”. However, after learning about Taoism through the lens of Winnie the Pooh, Bentley’s mindset changed.
“I read this book and in 15 minutes it changed my life,” he confesses. “It opened my eyes and made me realize that sometimes things are out of my control, and that I shouldn’t react.”
To this day, Bentley still likes to challenge his mind and learn new things. Currently, the actor fills Netflix documentaries An ancient apocalypse. The series, which has two seasons available to watch, follows journalist Graham Hancock as he travels the world in search of evidence of mysterious and lost civilizations dating back to the last ice age.
“It’s kind of like, maybe who we were back in the way, prehistory in the last ice age,” he shares. “How exciting is that?”
In addition to documentaries, Bentley also enjoys watching classic films such as Orson Welles‘ A touch of evil and the glow. The actor teases that every time he watches the Jack Nicholson-starrer, he sees “something new.”
Bentley is also a big music fan and can’t get enough of Radiohead’s 2008 album in rainbows.
“I can’t stop listening to this album since it came out,” he says us. “I think it’s one of the most interesting albums of all time. It’s also so expressive and it’s Radiohead, so it’s beautiful.”
Bentley played Jamie Dutton in the hit series Paramount+ Yellowstone since 2018. Six years later, the show is now in its final season with the final batch of episodes coming out this month.
“It was really satisfying to play (someone without) backbone, weakness and emptiness,” he says us While promoting part two of The fifth season of the series. “It was a big challenge and one that I was really happy to try and meet – and I hope I met it – but all that said, it’s a weight that would be nice to let go of one day.”
