The Surprise Clayface movie already has a release date

2024 ends on a very steady note Superman Following the trailer, the studio just added release dates for two of its many films in development, officially setting them in the universe, and they both have something to do with Batman.

The most amazing thing is ClayfaceScreenplay by Mike Flanagan, based on the Batman villain we didn’t know existed until days ago. That’s now coming on September 11, 2026. DC is also dated A dynamic duoanimated Robin movie revealed a few weeks ago. It will be released on June 30, 2028. A very real date, apparently.

They follow Supermanwhich will be released on July 11, 2025 and Supergirl: World of Tomorrowwhich is scheduled for June 26, 2026 as the first four films in the DC Universe. And this is kind of funny, but Clayface is now scheduled to beat Matt Reeves The Batman Part II2022 was announced– to theaters. It’s still scheduled for a month later on October 2, 2026, but it certainly looks like it’s going to be moved.

DC Studios co-chairman James Gunn announced on the social network that Clayface has been greenlit and is officially part of the DCU. No word on who will direct, but Flanagan is most likely not available. He has his own film, a new approach The ExorcistOn March 13, 2026.

So as it stands, the first two DC movies will be Superman and the next two will be Batman. But it makes less sense that Batman isn’t the star of either movie as far as we know, an unfortunate turn of events over the same weekend Kraven the Hunter is released, ending Sony’s non-Spider-Man Spiderverse. The difference here is that DC can use Batman if they want to. And one of those movies will be animated.

It’s also notable that one of the two films Gunn and his partner Peter Safran announced two years ago when they took over DC.Brave and bold, Poweretc. are all still there.

What do you think of the next two DC Universe movies?
