The day Earth blew up the first Looney Tunes trailer on the big screen

Following the poster release earlier this week, we now have the first fully animated theatrical trailer. Looney Tunes feature film, The day the Earth exploded. That’s coming from a team on the back of a recent resurgence streak Looney Tunes cartoonsis currently available Warner Bros. streaming service Maxand follows the original story of Daffy Duck, Hog Pig and Petunia Pig.

Team led by director Pete Broungardt and producer Alex Kirwanbrought the film to the Animation Is Film Festival in Los Angeles in October, and io9 was in the audience for its North American premiere Looney Tunes features stunning 2D animation and explosive comedic performances from beloved characters wrapped in crazy, hilarious good times.

The film is a throwback to the atomic age sci-fi thriller with the two Looney Tunes legends in center; It stars Eric Bauza as Daffy Duck and Porky as Candy Milo as Petunia Pig.Peter McNicol provides the voice of the film’s antagonist with Wayne Knight and Fred Tatashior in supporting roles.

While the film was produced under Warner Bros. Animation, the company has left distribution to Ketchup Entertainment here in the United States, where the film will hit theaters on February 28. Warner Bros. plans to review the finished film Coyote vs. Acme— was released a year ago without any word on its status, even after many Hollywood directors and actors praised its comedy efforts.

Meanwhile, there are also plans for Warner Bros. For a complete animation IP change with the new team at Animation Deadline:WB Animation just announced a Tom and Jerry Written by Rashida Jones, Will McCormack and Michael Govier, the film aims to usher in a “new iteration of accidents.” Tom and Jerry.

Back in August Cartoon Brew (via Pack) reports that Warner Bros. is planning a theatrical return Looney Tunes franchise after all (but not too soon, the year listed was 2028.) There are no other details on what that might look like, and fans should avoid reports of future projects with these characters, as we’ve seen previously handled by Warner Bros.
