Meek’s loved ones reunited at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama, to honor his memory, according to Instagram Live Stream of the Celebration of Life Service.
Meek, best known for acting roles in 2017 baby driver and the last chapters of MacGyver and available, Died December 21. He had suffered blunt force trauma injuries earlier that week after falling from a moving vehicle.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek has gone home to be with Jesus tonight,” read a statement shared on Meek’s Instagram page. “His 16 years on earth were too short, but he accomplished so much and had a significant impact on everyone he met.”
The statement added, “Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”
Mick is survived by his parents, to me and Derekand his older brother, Tucker.
“I’ll miss you Hood,” Tucker wrote at the time via an Instagram comment. “Love you bro.” (Tucker also added, “I’ll always miss you Hud,” on his social media bio.)
According to the obituary for Mick, he “died peacefully” surrounded by family, friends and “the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Messiah.”
“Hudson was an organ donor, and his family comforted by the knowledge May he continue to help others for many years to come,” the obituary continued. “Hudson was reflective and contemplative, however, he was stubborn when he made up his mind. … Hudson’s personality was one of a kind. He was self-confident, convinced of his beliefs, spontaneous and quick-witted. He never let facts get in the way of a funny story, and he loved friendly banter.”
The note added, “He was a prankster, loved a good joke, and was happiest when he made others laugh. Hudson thrived in settings that allowed him to meet and serve new people. Hudson was a vibrant and dynamic person who lived life to the fullest.”
Mick was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School in Alabama, there He played on the soccer team and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Honor Choir and the SGA. The obituary also listed his playing spots as part of his extracurricular hobbies.
“He has worked on several major motion pictures and television shows, some of which will be released in 2025,” the statement said. “He absolutely loved spending time on set and getting the chance to learn the names and stories of each member of the cast and crew.”
Mick’s representation, J. Pervis Talent Agency, also released a statement about the young actor’s death.
“Hudson was an extraordinary young talent whose dedication, passion and promise shone brightly in our industry,” the Instagram post read. “Over the past 10 years, he contributed so much to the spirit of our agency and his loss leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all of us. Hudson was more than just a talent, he was an inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile and innate ability to light up a room And never to meet a stranger, he will be remembered with great affection by all of us.”
