Taylor Swift received a very special birthday present from the Patients at children’s hospitals she visited.
“We can’t shake it – the excitement, smiles and laughter that filled our auditoriums yesterday when @taylorswift13 visited patients in Kansas City,” X A message from the hospital’s official account read on Friday, December 13. “Thank you and Happy Birthday from all your fans at Children’s Mercy!”
Swift turned 35 on Friday, one day later She paid a surprise visit to the hospital. The pop star met several patients and their families, posed for selfies and signed autographs Idan tour goods.
In a video shared late Friday, some of the patients recorded personalized messages for Swift thanking her for the kindnesses.
“Happy birthday, Taylor,” said one patient. “It was special for you to come visit me because I’ve always been kind of, like, a normal, outcast kid. So, for you to come visit me, makes me know that I’m not just a kid and I’m someone special.”
Another fan, wearing a 1989 concert T-shirt, clarified that Swift’s visit “made her feel so special” as she made a heart in her hand.
Other patients and nursing staff shared their well wishes Swift’s milestone birthday.
“For the mercy of the children, happy birthday,” the hospital staff said in unison. “We love all the support you Swifts show us and we know it’s because of you. Thank you, Taylor!”

During Swift’s impromptu visit, she Took time to bless Every fan and chat. Several of their parents praised the pop star’s easy-going demeanor in their social media posts.
“This morning, Bailey’s day #6 in the hospital, we had the coolest and most unexpected surprise ever (with about 2 minutes warning),” one mom wrote via Facebook. “Taylor Swift came to visit hospitalized children today and Bailey was chosen because she requests Taylor songs during her uncomfortable procedures!”
She added, “Y’all she’s amazing! Besides her great beauty, she was just as kind and personable and normal. She gave Bailey a signed copy of her Idan tour Book and receive a gift from Bailey (diamond art picture). We freaked out all morning! I even cried because it is wonderful to see my daughter smile so much when she knows the pain she is suffering.”
Another parent also thanked Swift for “bringing some joy” to her son, writing “a great way to bring a smile and make a memory.”
