Taylor Swift bassist Amos Heller offers a behind-the-scenes look

Taylor Swiftalmost two years Idan tour Run touched fans around the world – including her longtime bass player Amos Heller.

Heller, 47, who joined Swift’s band in 2007, took to social media on Tuesday, Dec. 10, to reflect on the highs and lows experienced throughout the tour.

Sharing a series of photos of himself and Swift, 34, performing in various locations, Heller wrote the caption Instagram Carousel with a long and moving gesture as he detailed the “journey of his life”.

Starting with some of the toughest demands of the tour, Heller wrote, “No more early calls to the lobby. No more airports. No more lugging a suitcase and a mono bag up an escalator, through a line, out of the baggage claim. No more heating, no more cooling. No more looking On my watch 20 times to make sure I don’t miss a call. No more saying goodbye to my family, no more “how old are you?” no more jet lag.

Heller’s tribute then moved on to the challenges of traveling to far corners of the world in line Idan tourwhich performed 152 shows on five continents after starting in March 2023, became Top earning tour of all time.

“No more slipping into new languages, cultures, cuisines, emphasized comforts. No more snow in Tokyo, watch factories in Switzerland, museums in Sweden, bass shops in Australia, steaks in Rio, tattoos in Ireland, running in Germany, flowers in Amsterdam,” continued Heller. “It’s done.”

The musician then moved on to his memorable highlights, including feeling like a “gladiator” as he entered a given stadium. “No more screaming words with a perfect stranger who is now your best friend. No more staring in awe at my family/friends who only moments ago shared a ridiculous joke, who have suddenly become iconic titans, towering and thriving in the blinding lights,” he wrote. “I no longer need to dig as deep as I can, demanding the best I can.”

Heller compared that of the tour Final performanceposted in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8, for a “finale” of sorts, before ending his post with a message addressed to Swift.

“You earn so much respect and admiration from everyone who is fortunate enough to add their effort to yours. Your combination of focus, heart, endurance and joy calls out the best in everyone around you,” he wrote. “Thank you for trusting me with my part in your vision. It was a ride of a lifetime. I love you.”

During the announcement, which took place during the tour’s 100th show in Liverpool, England, she added that the tour had overtaken “everything” before thanking fans for their support.

“You’ve done so much to be with us, haven’t you?” Swift broke out at the same time. “You made plans so far in advance, you planned what you were going to wear, you memorized words, you got here, you figured out parking, you figured out transportation.”

She continued, “I want to spend the 100th show just thinking about it and living in the moment with you and being here with you. Just know that I appreciate every ounce of effort you put into being with us…so thank you.”
