The worst performers of the conference were Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 2.90 to trade at 26.25 at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) declined 9.94% or 2.60 points to end at 23.55 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) was down 9.91% or 7.60 points to 69.10.

Crude oil for January delivery rose 0.21% or 0.15 to $70.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for February delivery rose 0.31% or 0.23 to hit $73.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.29 to trade at $2,747.41 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.29% to 32.41, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.13% at 106.25.
