South Korea’s currency has fallen to a 15-year low against the dollar

Donald Trump has opposed the federal stop-gap law unveiled by the congressional leadership, launching a fierce battle two days before the budget is due and the government is starting to shut down.

“The only way to do this is temporary spending WITHOUT DEMOCRAT GIVEAWAYS including debt increases,” incoming president and presidential nominee JD Vance said in a speech at X. “Anything is a betrayal of . . our country.”

The two said congressional “Republicans must GET SMART and TOUGH”, and “if the Democrats are threatening to shut down the government unless we give them everything they want, then YOU SHOULD BLUFF THEM”.

The more than 1,500-page proposal will allow the government to provide funding until March 14.
