Sources have revealed to CaughtOffside that Real Madrid are confident of signing Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold next summer.
The England international is nearing the end of his contract at Anfield, and although there has been no final decision on his future, there seems to be hope from Madrid’s end in this regard.
CaughtOffside they understand that both Liverpool and Real Madrid have offered a contract to Alexander-ArnoldBoth clubs are offering four-year contracts plus a fifth option.
It may take some time before we learn Alexander-Arnold’s final decision, but Real confidence to be able to do this after doing a lot of getting to sign the upper class on the right back.
As well as Alexander-Arnold, Los Blancos are also interested in strengthening the left back, and they have big names in the same position.
Another player who could be on a free transfer this summer is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, although there is speculation that the deal is leaving Real Madrid, with the Canadian looking to sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
CaughtOffside I understand this has led to the Spanish giants linking up with AC Milan left back Theo Hernandez.
The Frenchman is another top player who could boost this Madrid side, and it would be a great season if they could bring him and Alexander-Arnold in as their new full-backs.
SHOCK as Liverpool are involved in a €40m saga
Liverpool fans will no doubt hope that there is something to change with Alexander-Arnold, however, it will be very difficult to replace the 26-year-old.
Alexander-Arnold has been a star player for LFC since his rise through the club’s academy, and will play a key role in their future plans, so the club will do everything in their power to stop a move to the Bernabeu.
