Sophia Loren She’s had an amazing career over the years, yet her roles as “Mom” and “Grandma” may be her favorites yet.
“I live for my family,” Lauren said today In 2016. “I have the most beautiful grandchildren I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m happy! I’m living a wonderful life.”
Lauren was married to Carlo Ponti until his death in 2007. Together, they shared two sons.
In the years that have passed since the sons Carlo Jr. and Eduardo grew up and started their own families, Lauren moved to Switzerland but remained close to her family.
Sophia Loren has no plans to slow down in Hollywood. “My grandmother and I are very close,” said granddaughter Lucia peace! November 2024. “We visit her often in Geneva and she also comes to visit us in Los Angeles. I love her very much and despite the distance, we spend a lot of time together.”
She added, “I admire her dedication to her values. She never gives up her authentic self to conform to the expectations of others around her. I am endlessly inspired by her and always feel grateful to have such an amazing role model to look up to.”

Lucia Sophia Ponti
Lucia, named after her grandmother, is Eduardo and Sasha’s first child. She was born in 2006. When Lucia was 18 years old, she made her official debut in the company in The famous Le Bal des Debutantes of Paris in 2024.
