Radio host and entertainment reporter Robin Ayers Died at age 44.
The KBLA 1580 Talk personality died Thursday, Dec. 5. The cause of death was not announced.
“On behalf of her dear family, it is with deep sadness that KBLA Talk 1580 announces the passing of our beloved colleague Robin Ayers on Thursday, December 05,” the radio host wrote Twis Smiley in X. “Robin was a bright light. You could see her bright smile through the radio.
We all respected her enormous talent, loved her cheerful spirit, celebrated her love for family and respected her faith in God.”
Ayers was the mother of 18-year-old twin girls, whom she shared with her husband Rob Ayers.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Robyn’s entire family, especially her husband Rob and her twin daughters Brooklyn and Madison,” Smiley wrote. “We ask that you join us in praying for the Ayers family as they navigate the difficult days ahead. At the appropriate time, KBLA Talk 1580 will offer a special tribute to Robin.”
Several celebrities shared their condolences on Instagram. Jay Pharaoh Commented on Ayers’ latest post: “Heartbroken, I pray to see you again one day in the kingdom my sister, rest in peace 🕊🕊.”
Christina Milian Also left a long comment. “Robin.. Thank you. Thank you for the smile, the laugh and the moments we shared. It doesn’t even feel right to say it, my heart is broken. 😢 May your love flow and bring strength to Robbie, your girls and your entire family. You followed your dreams and you really did it from the ground up We are all proud of you. You left a mark on our hearts. Rest in peace.
Ayers was a Hollywood stylist for 15 years before becoming an entertainment reporter and motivational speaker. She has appeared on Fox, BET, OWN Network and AfterBuzz TV.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Ayers has been a member of the KBLA radio community since 2022, when she began hosting “The RA Report with Robin Ayers.” KBLA serves the greater Los Angeles area community, and her weekday program focused on entertainment and interviews with Celebrity Guests The Friday, December 6 show allows fans to call in and share their memories of the personality.
Ayers previously worked as a reporter for EUR Web. A statement on their website addressed the death of their former colleague.
“With a heavy heart, the entertainment journalism community mourns the passing of Robin Ayers,” the statement said. “Robin, known for her lively personality and passion for storytelling, has died leaving a significant void in the world of journalism and entertainment broadcasting…Robin has been a vital part of the EURweb family since around 2015, where she has left a lasting impact through her insightful reporting and engaging presence.”
EURweb publisher Lee Bailey wrote a personal statement as well.
“Along with the EURweb team/family, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Ayers. Her passion for storytelling and unwavering commitment to the truth brought depth and authenticity to her work,” he wrote. “She was not just a colleague but a friend, and her impact on EURweb and the lives she touched will never be forgotten.”
