Real Madrid have expressed their disappointment with their performance in their 3-3 LaLiga draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.
Los Blancos say the referee’s controversial decision has prevented them from winning, which could have a major impact on the competition.
The game in Vallecas started well in Madrid, as Rayo raced into a 2-0 lead with the first two headers from Unai Lopez and Abdul Mumin.
However, Madrid fought back, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham making it 2-2 before half-time.
In the second half, Rodrygo briefly put the visitors ahead with a fine goal, but Isi Palazon equalized for Rayo just eight minutes later.
The result leaves Real Madrid one point behind league leaders Barcelona.
After the match, Madrid published a report on their official website and media channels on the topic “The controversial referee denies the victory to Madrid. “

The district criticized referee Juan Martinez Munuera’s decision not to award penalties on Vinicius Junior and Abdul Mumin in the 75th minute.
The report said: βIn the 75th minute there was the most difficult play of the game.
“Vini Jr. was brought down in the area by Mumin, but Martinez Munuera did not give a penalty, and there was no warning from (Pablo) Gonzalez Fuertes, the VAR referee.”
Madrid have been vocal this season about their dissatisfaction with the referee, often pointing out refereeing errors on Real Madrid TV.
Speaking after the game, head coach Carlo Ancelotti also spoke about the incident, saying: “I see the replay, the penalty looked very good to me.
“There are draws and there are draws. The draw with Mallorca and Las Palmas (in August) was very different from this draw… We are on the right track.
“The art of Mallorca and Las Palmas scared me, but this didn’t.
“I thought it would be difficult for us to find the right mindset (this season), but we did.
“We have the same mentality as last year, the same commitment, the same attitude. Rodrygo is back today. (Eduardo) Camavinga is back.
(David) Alaba will come back. I will start 2025 with great enthusiasm. We are fighting for everything. “
Real Madrid’s next challenge is on Wednesday, when they face Pachuca in the final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
