Specifically, the 3 o’clock register, which includes both a 30-minute and 12-hour scale to measure elapsed time, is designed to display the fighter’s “burn rate,” while its reverse numeral 9 features blue artificial horizon (rather than the original pilot-only gray) and target crosshair; this register displays the running seconds.
The seconds hand is, as usual, centrally placed and on the tip of this watch is painted aircraft orange.Each sub-dial has triangular hands, a nod to previous cult classic Omega models in particular CaptainA 44mm chronograph introduced in 1969 and marketed as a dedicated pilot’s watch.

The hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers, deviate from standard Speedmaster fare.The hands are PVD-coated in matte black and finished with large blocks of Super-LumiNova for maximum legibility at night, to match the 3D luminescence of the hour markers appears and has a green “emission,” the watch geek term for its colorful glow.
