The two star cricketers of India, Nitish Rana and Ayush Badoni, engaged in a big fight during the knockout stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-2025. The incident took place during the match between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, which was held at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
This happened in the 13th over of the innings when Ayush Badoni, who plays for Delhi, was batting in the middle. At that time, Nitish Rana was playing football, and he left. This did not go down well with the batsman, who came back with his own style.
When Nitish was about to deliver the ball, Ayush Badoni departed from his batting. The problems escalated when the ball ended, all the players were seen in a heated argument as the batsman reached the end of the no-scorer.
As Badoni reached the non-striker’s end, Nitish Rana stepped in and was seen sharing some words. Before that the two were involved in a heated exchange and were separated by the referee. The video went viral on the internet within minutes.

Ayush Badoni, the Delhi captain, did not fare well with the bat in the match. The hosts finished with an innings of 25 runs off 18 balls, hitting 3 fours in the knock. But he made sure he got back at Nitish Rana in the second innings.
It was Ayush Badoni who got rid of Nitish Rana and returned the favor. The southpaw was caught by Harsh Tyagi as he had trouble with the bat. The left-hander finished with just two runs from three balls as Uttar Pradesh lost their third wicket.
Coming into the game, Delhi were asked to bat first and put 193 runs on the board. Priyansh Arya (44) and Yash Dhull (42) gave the team a good start as they added 81 runs to get the team going again.
In the end, it was Anuj Rawat, who came up with a brilliant effort. The batsman-turned-player finished with an unbeaten innings of 73 runs and took their team to 193. For UP, Mohsin Khan, Vineet Parwar, and Nitish Rana took one wicket each.
Uttar Pradesh did not get off to a good start with the bat as they lost both their openers in Aryan Juyal and Karan Sharma. But after this, Priyam Garg (54) kept his team in the hunt with his age. The onus was on Sameer Rizvi to take his team home in a knockout match. But he too fell early as Delhi won the match by 19 runs.
