Mithali Raj Quits Gujarat Titans Ahead of WPL 2025 Auction

Mithali Raj parted ways with Gujarat Titans as a consultant and advisor before being traded for WPL 2025. After a disappointing performance in these two seasons, the former India captain has joined a new role as a consultant for the Andhra Cricket Association.

Mithali Raj Left Gujarat Titans

An Indian former cricketer and captain, Mithali Raj stepped down as a consultant and advisor to Gujarat Titans ahead of the WPL 2025 campaign. The decision came after the franchise’s poor performance in the last two seasons. Gujarat Titans have ended all their seasons at the bottom of the points table.

According to reports, Mithali Raj was signed for 3 years by Gujarat Titans, but they parted ways earlier. Mithali Raj has now joined the Andhra Cricket Association as a mentor and coach for women’s cricket.

Coach Change In Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans bowling coach Nooshin Al Khadeer along with Mithali Raj have also decided not to renew his two-year contract. Nooshin, who was instrumental in developing young talent, is now coaching India’s Under-19 Women’s team.

However, some coaching staff of Gujarat Titans, such as head coach Michael Klinger and sports coach Carl Hopkinson will continue in their current roles.

WPL 2025 Sale
