Man United believe he is ready to leave A Christian Eriksen in January as the former star is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.
It is according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germanywho says Manchester club they may be willing to sell the midfielder from January as an eligible contribution upon reaching 32 years of age.
Eriksen is out of contract at the end of the season and this upcoming window is Man United’s last chance to bring any money to the Danish star.
The former Tottenham player played a key role at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag but since Amorim’s arrival in November, the veteran’s minutes have been reduced.
In the Portuguese coach’s first match against Ipswich, Eriksen played in the 68th minute, however, the Denmark international has not been present since. Before that, the 32-year-old made 13 appearances for Man United, scoring four goals and assisting three more.
Eriksen has been linked with a move to Celtic in recent weeks not even the Scottish leaders can match the Danish star’s current salary at Man United.
Real Betis made an inquiry about Eriksen in the summerbut the La Liga side have yet to make a move for the 32-year-old as the Spanish club continue to sign Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso in his place.
It remains to be seen who Man United’s approach to the midfielder will be as his position at the club has been made clear. The Danish star can still give a lot to the team in one of the big five European clubs, although Italy is banned because of their rules regarding the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator in the chest of the Premier League player.
