Manchester City will look to end a five-game losing streak when they visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

The game was one of three from 3pm GMT in the first weekend following the suspension of the scheduled match between Everton and Liverpool.

The final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park was called off due to safety concerns amid weather warnings in Liverpool and across the UK.

Here’s what happened in the Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest match at 5.30pm GMT, including results, scores, winners and what happened at the top and bottom of the table.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Wideman Daniel Munoz gave the hosts a stunning fourth-minute lead at Selhurst Park, picking up Will Hughes’ pass to slot home.

City took 26 minutes to respond through Erling Haaland’s first goal in three games, and brought it to Matheus Nunes.

Kyle Walker was at fault as Maxence Lacroix put Palace ahead after 56 minutes. Rico Lewis earned City a 2-2 draw after 12 minutes and was sent off six minutes later for a second caution.

Cityzens are fourth, a point behind Chelsea and Arsenal and eight behind the Reds, whose slow pace means they have more games in hand.

Palace are four points above the 16th place and have now lost one of their last eight games in all competitions.

Brentford vs Newcastle: Bees win for fun

Bryan Mbeumo’s solo strike gave Brentford an eight-minute lead that lasted less than four minutes against Newcastle, who equalized when Alexander Isak headed in Jacob Murphy’s header.

A good run and strike from Yoane Wissa put the Bees back in front, and their lead lasted five minutes this time as Harvey Barnes, who provided Brentford’s second goal, fired home.

Wissa fired a shot onto the post before Nathan Collins took advantage of a generous save to score in the 56th minute of the third minute. Kevin Schade made it 4-2 in the 90th minute, moving Brentford into sixth. Newcastle are 12th after a four game winless run.

Aston Villa vs Southampton

Jhon Duran scored his first Premier League goal since September with a 24th-minute strike to give Villa victory and the only goal of the game at home to Southampton.

Villa’s second consecutive win moved them up to fifth, three points behind second-placed Chelsea. Saints are eight points from safety.
