“To our fans, we will continue to work as a team to improve, improve and improve the corner.”
The City quickly condemned the racist attack. A club statement read: “Manchester City condemns the racist abuse of Kyle Walker online after last night’s game.
“We refuse to tolerate discrimination of any kind, whether it’s in the stadium or online.
“We will give Kyle our full support following the vile tactics he received.”
Walker, 34, joined City for £50m in the summer of 2017 and has won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League with the club.
A statement from the Premier League read: “The Premier League opposes racism of any kind. Racism has no place in our game or anywhere in society. We encourage anyone who hears or sees racist abuse to report it and take action.
“Premier League to help Kyle Walker and club tackle online hate.”
