“It’s going to sound weird. I take more comfort in the fact that he was happy the day he died,” Kudrow, 61, said during her appearance on “Armchair Expert” podcast. on Monday, December 9. “He should die happy. And for me it was a gift.”

Perry died at his home in Los Angeles in October 2023 at the age of 54. His official cause of death was later determined to be “The Acute Effects of Ketamine,” used to treat opioid use.

The conversation about Perry came up during Kudrow’s podcast appearance as a host Dax Shepard Said he knew the late actor “through sobriety.”

“I loved the Matthew I first met and the one at the end, because God loves him, it’s you, and I love you,” she said. “I understand, and so does he.”

Gloomy broke her silence on Perry’s death weeks after he passed.

Kudrow told fans that Perry has shown her “kindness and love” throughout their friendship. “Thanks for the time I got to be with you, Matthew,” she concluded.
