Leeds United could replace striker Patrick Bamford in January and add to the £4 million they have been chasing for some time, according to a new report.
The Whites are in contention for themselves, but with the second half of the season yet to come, Daniel Farke they may see January as an opportunity to freshen things up and boost their marketing efforts.
Leeds are close to signing one, as a young player Robbie Cook is expected to join the Championship after impressing during trials at Thorp Arch. Manchester United are also interested in signing the striker, but the Yorkshire side have won the race.

Louie Barry is another player Leeds are chasing and hoping to sign in January. The Aston Villa winger is expected to be recalled from his loan spell at Stockport County, where he excelled, with a loan move to the Championship side this time around. Leeds are among the clubs interested in a deal but face a battle with Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough also looking to secure a loan deal.
It was also known that Leeds want to sign Ben Godfreybut this seems difficult to do and will have to wait until the summer, as promotion to the Premier League will need to be sealed for the deal to happen. The defender has struggled since joining Atalanta, as well as Leeds, with a number of Premier League clubs also interested in signing him.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United are considering offloading Bamford and signing Dor Turgemana winger/striker who currently plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Bamford, who has been at Leeds since 2018, has made eight appearances for the Whites in the league this season, as injuries continue to hamper his availability, failing to start every game.
Bamford is under contract until 2026, but his availability is not as stable as Farke would like, with Leeds looking to replace him come January.
The report claims that Leeds are looking to strengthen their front line in order to boost their campaign and give them another option if Bamford leaves in January. Turgeman is a man who has been on Leeds’ radar for some time and has left scouts at the club impressed.
It was reported earlier this month that Leeds had made a move to sign Turgemanwho can spend money £4 millionand is now considering whether to go ahead with plans to sign the player. Leeds also have other options under consideration, but Turgeman, 21, looks like a promising talent with a high ceiling.
