Hallmark provides an array of New holiday movies every year – but some of their best festive films are actually from the past.

But beyond the heartwarming romance, wish-fulfillment and stunning settings are Hallmark’s recurring stars, many of which have been around for a decade or more.
Paul Campbell Made his Hallmark debut in 2014 with The wonderland of windowsA strange love rival novel in which he starred opposite Chiller Lee. Even then, the actor knew that the film – and the network – were something special.
“(The wonderland of windows) deals with love at its core. It’s a great love story but it’s not nasty,” he explained. “It’s fun, and it’s funny and it’s fast and it’s fast. It’s really well written (with) dialogue but has that happy ending that you want at the end of the day when you’re watching a Christmas movie. It’s a feel good movie. You want to see that everyone gets what they want in the end. And spoiler alert: they are!”

Why you should (re)watch: Who doesn’t love a little magic during the holidays? This heartwarming Hallmark movie stars Bethany Joy Lentz As Christine, a struggling single mother who wants her luck: she has just been fired from her job, is threatened with eviction and her ex-husband Harari is taking her to court for custody of their children. Think it can’t get any worse? mistake. Kristin also lost a precious family heirloom handed down from her father when she was a small child.
As she struggles to pick up the pieces of her life, she finds unexpected support from a handsome stranger—and bakery owner—named Jason (John Reardon), with whom she shares an unexpected connection. With her new found family, Christine’s luck slowly begins to change just in time for Christmas.
Lentz has never made a Christmas movie that wasn’t worth watching, but she delivers an especially amazing performance in this story about love, hope and the importance of leading with kindness even in the worst of circumstances. Break the tissue, because it squeezes tears.

Why you should (re)watch: Nothing screams the holidays like a magical Christmas cottage designed to bring you your own happiness. on Christmas Cottagelacy (Merritt Patterson) takes a break from her busy life as an architect to serve as her best friend’s maid of honor during her winter wedding. Her biggest responsibility? decorate the bride Eva (Brittany Wilson) family cottage so it is ready for the newlyweds to stay in after the ceremony.
Obviously Lacey can’t decorate alone! She is forced to work with her ex-boyfriend, Ean (Steve Lund), who happens to be at the wedding. Legend has it that “everyone who’s ever been here at Christmastime has found true love,” which both Lacey and Anne believe – even if they don’t say it out loud. When the couple gets stuck in a cottage for the wedding, they are forced to see if their feelings for each other remain.
If you’ve never seen this Hallmark hit, get ready for a cozy atmosphere, lots of Christmas decorations, and a surprise breakup scene for adults – spoiler: Lacey isn’t single when she arrives at the cabin! If this movie doesn’t make you want to run away to the mountains and rent a cabin for the holidays, we don’t know what will.

the vibe: Everything is not calm – but everything is bright
Why you should (re)watch: Amnesia, a wedding dress and an affair with Andrew Walker – ugh, we mean Zach Callahan, played by Walker – are three reasons to rewatch this classic. Christmas on my mind Follows Lucy Lovett (Ashley Greene) after she hits her head while holding a wedding dress. When she wakes up, she goes to see her fiancé Zach, only they’re not engaged. Actually, they broke up two years ago, but Lucy doesn’t remember anything.
Zack is a good guy, or so it seems, so he helps Lucy get home to her new fancy house and awkwardly meets her new fiancé, Brad (Clayton James). Lucy, on the other hand, doesn’t understand why she broke up with Zac, so on doctor’s orders, she returns to their hometown to celebrate the holidays and try to rekindle her memory. Let’s just say, the moment Lucy’s memories come back they are not what she thought they would be.
While there is a bit of cheating on Zack’s part in this movie, we can’t help but love the intended lovers storyline. Lucy and Zach are perfect for each other – so who are we to judge how they get back together. Outside of the dreamy romance, the movie scenery, the Christmas trees by the sea and the snowman building competition keep us coming back year after year.
