Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced the nominations — which honor achievements in both film and television — on Monday, Dec. 9.
Nicky Glazer set to hosts the awards show For the first time on Sunday, January 5. The comedian, 40, noted in a press release in August that it was “an exciting but challenging performance because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars.”
“Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from Golden Globe opening monologues in the past Tina (Faye), Amy (Poehler) or Ricky (Gervais) They said exactly what we all didn’t know we needed to hear,” she continued. “I only hope to continue the same age-old tradition (which may also lead to my cancellation). This is truly a dream job. Plus, I no longer have to feel guilty about every TV show and movie I’ve binged over the past year. It was all worth it.”
