Dennis Rodman Confront his inner self “Demons” on parenting over the years.
“I think the only big demon I have right now is trying to convince myself that I’m a good father,” Rodman said in an interview with ESPN in 2020. “It’s very hard for me to try to get out of that cycle. It’s just one of those things that I’ve never had someone do it (being a father) for me and I think sometimes, ‘Why am I doing this for someone else?'”
He added, “Knowing that it’s my child, it’s my wife or it’s my mother, it’s my sister and it’s hard for me to just be attracted to people, like, who are close to me. It’s hard even though inside I love them.”
The retired Chicago Bulls athlete shares eldest daughter Alexis with his ex-wife Annie Bakes and children DJ and Trinity with his ex-wife Michelle Moyer.
Since the kids were growing up, they’ve been honest about staying away from Rodman.
“He’s not a father. Maybe by blood, but nothing else,” said Trinity In the “Call Her Dad” podcast. in December 2024. “We never really asked for anything unless we needed it. We just want you. I think for him, he never understood the fact, because he never experienced it. … He never understood People can actually just want to be around him and just want to make him happy.”

Philander ‘Phil’ and Shirley Rodman
The NBA icon was raised primarily by single mother Shirley after Phil left during his childhood. Phil and Shirley also shared daughters Debra and Kim.
Rodman and Phil became estranged, and reunited in person in 1969 and 2012. (Phil lives in the Philippines.)

Rodman and his ex-wife Michelle Moyer welcomed their first child together, son DJ, in April 2001.
Like his father, DJ is a basketball player and was on the University of Southern California team. He graduated in May 2024.

Rodman and Moyer welcomed their youngest child in May 2002.
Trinity is Also an athleteProfessional football game for the spirit of Washington. She was on Team USA during the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics. During the Paris Olympics, Trinity and her teammates walked away the gold medal.
