Pakistan started their T20I series against Zimbabwe and a in Bulawayo won by 57 runs. Guided by the special characters of Haris Rauf and Sufi Muqeemthe visitors defeated Zimbabwe by just 108 runs, taking a 1-0 lead from three matches. Muqeem, with excellent figures of 3/20, came to the fore, while Rauf’s accuracy led to a well-timed run.
Pakistan chose to bat first with the aim of setting a dangerous target. However, the innings got off to a rough start as the openers Omar Yusuf fell early, managing 16 off 13 deliveries before ending with a sharp delivery from Richard Ship. Despite the early initiation, Saim Ayub and Usman Khan brought calm to the innings with a 39-run partnership for the second wicket. Ayub showed his brilliance with a couple of beautiful strokes but fell in the 21st minute, miscuing a shot that landed well in the fielder’s hands, leaving Pakistan to rebuild.
Tayyab Tahir he emerged as Pakistan’s star batsman and knocked a fierce but aggressive 39* off 25 balls. Going through a tough time, Tahir fought with skill, timing and power. His ability to find gaps and clear runners highlighted his batting ability.
Tahir’s deal is Irfan Khan it was important in turning the innings around. The duo added 65 runs for the fifth wicket, with Tahir supporting the stand while scoring in quick succession. His shot selection, especially his ability to deliver anything loose, was crucial for Pakistan to reach the tournament. Irfan Khan contributed well alongside Tahir, scoring a quick 27 off just 15 balls. His brutal stroke play not only boosted Tahir but also ensured that Pakistan ended the innings on a strong note. Irfan’s contribution, even if overshadowed by Tahir, was instrumental in the final run.
Zimbabwe started the chase with promise, although they lost Brian Bennett early. A solid 59-run partnership in the middle We have found Marmani and Sikandar Raza kept the crowds in contention. Marumani, in particular, looked comfortable against the runners and helped control the innings. However, a poor second order led to Marmani’s dismissal, opening the door to Zimbabwe’s collapse. After his departure, Zimbabwe lost wickets incessantly, and no one could cope with the misses that followed in Pakistan.
Muqeem’s left-arm spin was a revelation on a slow pitch. His variations, especially the googly, left Zimbabwe’s middle and lower order unfazed. Rauf, with his speed and accuracy, continued to strike in key situations, removing key batsmen like. Ryan Burl Zimbabwe captain Raza stood tall among the wreckage, scoring a mighty 39 off 28 balls. However, his dismissal – an ill-timed shot that was spectacularly caught behind – sealed Zimbabwe’s fate.
Sufiyan Muqeem had a brilliant performance as he defended 165 runs. π₯

Very happy to watch Sufiyan Muqeem’s dish, early days but great improvement on a very strong skill to be able to do well. It is not difficult to see an inexperienced bowler managing to bowl well with the left arm spinner. Fun soccer player!

39* off 25 for Tayyab Tahir. Another day where he proves why he is one of the cleanest footballers in Pakistan. We have lost many years of his workπ #PAKvWINTER #PakistanCricket

Tayyab Tahir may not be the best batsman but the batsman knows how to find opportunities and when to play big shots. #PAKvsZIM
