Wedding invitations have recently become popular due to their amazing and unconventional designs, which left many in the first place. At first glance, the recipients mistook it for an Aadhaar card, but realized on closer inspection that it was indeed a marriage proposal.
Traditional wedding cards with fancy designs and religious writings seem outdated. Modern couples are choosing new and amazing colors to make their invitations stand out. One such example is the Aadhaar card-led marriage proposal, which has caught the attention of social media users and sparked debate.
A photo shared by DK Sardana (@dksardana) on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), features a marriage proposal designed to resemble an Aadhaar card, with the same layout and style. If you look closely, the title of the card, “Shubh Vivah” (a good marriage), reveals its true purpose.
The card shows the names of the bride and groom, Prahlad and Varsha, both from Pipariya village in Madhya Pradesh. Instead of the Aadhaar number, the card subtly shows their wedding date, June 22, 2017. Adding a personal touch, the couple’s photos are included below along with a QR code and barcode for more information.
Wedding invitations have become a platform for creativity, and unique designs are replacing old traditions. Recently, another wedding card went viral thanks to its technology concept, this time labeled as an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. Couples are embracing unrelated things, like political party themes or regional languages like Haryanvi, to add a personal and fun touch to their special day.
As these imaginative invitations continue to circulate on social media, it’s clear that trying to make wedding cards has become a popular way to get noticed. From Aadhaar cards to laptop designs, these unique invitations are redefining tradition, making weddings memorable and fun.
