“I’m worried about us as a species, it’s a much bigger problem,” he said.
The “Don’t Look Up” star went on to say that the threat of AI is “very real” because “you can totally replace anybody.”
“Forget about whether they’re actors or not, if you’ve recorded yourself for three or four seconds, your voice can be replicated.”
He added: “When you look at it one way, it’s creativity, but it’s also incredibly destructive, which of course, is the other side.”
WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)?
Blanchett’s fears were voiced just weeks before the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the company that represents her, and YouTube announced their new partnership to manage the likenesses of actors and athletes in AI-generated content .
“By partnering with CAA, we’ll get input from some of the world’s most influential figures, some of whom have been significantly impacted by the latest waves of AI innovation, to refine our product before launching it on a wider group of creators and artists”, the company he said in a blog post.
“When you look at it one way, it’s creativity, but it’s also incredibly destructive, which of course, is the flip side.”
“CAA customers’ direct experience with digital replicas in the evolving landscape of AI will be critical to shaping a tool that responsibly empowers and protects creators and the YouTube community at large.”
Next year, CAA customers will have access to technology that can identify AI-generated content with their likenesses, giving them the option to take it down through a privacy complaint process.

Several actors have already run into trouble for using their facial and voice likenesses without their consent for AI-generated materials.
Star of “Black Widow”. Scarlett Johanssonalso a CAA client, filed for legal action against OpenAI last year when it claimed the company launched its “Sky” voice system that resembled its voice after it had already rejected an offer from the company to hire her for the job.
“When I heard the released demo, I was shocked, angry and incredulous that Mr. Altman was chasing a voice that sounded so eerily similar to mine that my closest friends and the media couldn’t tell the difference. . Mr. Altman even hinted that the similarity was intentional, tweeting the single word “she,” a reference to the film in which I voiced a chat system, Samantha, who forms an intimate relationship with a human,” the statement, published by NPR in May, read

“As a result of his actions, I was forced to hire a lawyer, who wrote two letters to Mr. Altman and OpenAloutlining what they had done and asking them to detail the exact process by which they created the ‘Sky’ voice. Consequently, OpenAl reluctantly agreed to remove the voice of ‘Sky,'” the statement continued.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said: “Sky’s voice is not Scarlett Johansson’s, and was never intended to resemble hers. We created the actor of voice behind Sky’s voice before any communication with Ms. Johansson, out of respect for Ms. Johansson, we have stopped using Sky’s voice in our products.
