Beflo Tenon Premium at $3,636: Although incredibly expensive (and heavy!), this hardwood smart desk is both sturdy and well-designed. Assembly was simple, and once the desk was up and running, I found all the features (touchscreen controls, built-in power strip, audio passthrough, and LED lighting) to work well and in convenient locations.Touchscreen controls are intuitive (iOS-like), and functions such as sit/stand timer and phone connection provide additional functionality. The desk supports over 200 pounds of stuff even while on the go, and the height adjustment motors will shut down temporarily if they overheat, instead of risking damage to the desk. The desk looks fantastic, too first party accessories allows you to customize the desk to your specific needs. My biggest problem with this desk is the noise. While by no means loud, it was certainly more audible than the “whisper quiet” descriptor that Beflo uses in its marketing. Additionally, the lighting color adjustment had some difficulty creating custom colors using the built-in touchscreen, and the audio cable was too short to reach the desktop computer on the floor even at the lowest height. However, the Tenon is still an excellent, if expensive, option to consider.Henry Robbins
Flexispot E7 Pro $420+: Standing desks can be more expensive, but Flexispot usually offers similar features at a lower price E7 Pro: It looks a lot like the Herman Miller Jarvis, but look closer and you’ll find that the entry-level version has a shallow 23″ desktop, the control unit feels a little cheap, and it makes a loud noise during operation. I also had some cable issues with larger power adapters installed in it, and it may fluctuate when fully extended. But even when fully configured, the E7 The Pro is cheaper than most of the competition. Minor flaws aside, it’s a perfectly decent bench.Simon Hill
Charcoal standing desk for $1,199: This desk is designed to remind you when to take breaks from work, so you have the mental focus to get through your day. It uses your health and sleep data in the app, as well as lights and haptic feedback to track and tell you , when you need to take a break. At first, this feature sounds interesting, but it’s not much better than the Swedish-made timer on your phone The build quality of the desk frame is excellent, with smooth, quiet operation that reaches almost to the floor, perfect for those of us who like to sit on the ground and work occasionally. : I like the rounded edges of the white rectangle top, which never accidentally hits my hips when I walk by the desk, and the white plastic surface is easy to cover. At almost double the price of a similar standing desk, I’m not sure it’s worth it, definitely don’t buy it for the company’s “overcharging” claims, but you won’t be disappointed with the desk.Parker Hall
Ergonofis Sway Stand Desk for $1,445: Here’s another nice looking solid wood desk from the Canadian brand Ergonofis, there was so much packaging left after I unpacked the desk that it was a little overwhelming, and the assembly was just weird. (I had to step on one part with my feet, which meant I had to wear shoes to complete the assembly.) It’s a great desk, but I also confused the company’s management. panel and the desk didn’t always work.it would respond when I touched the panel to move it up or down.
Branch compression power for $89: This simple and elegant clip attaches to your desktop and adds three AC outlets, USB-C and USB-A, so you don’t have so many wires running down the ground.

BenQ ScreenBar lamp for $139: Alternatively, you can install these ScreenBar lamps over your computer monitor and it will light up your desktop without having to click. Secretlab Premium Footrest for $79: I’ve been using this footbed for a few years and it’s great. The plush memory foam is soft and comfortable for my feet, and it’s easy to clean with a vacuum and a damp cloth. It hasn’t shown much wear and tear despite years of use.
Monoprice Single Monitor Adjustable Gas Spring Desk Mount for $66: I’ve had a few of these WorkStream hand mounts for years and they’ve done the job reliably. You can adjust the tension with the hex key and move the monitor to your desired position. Just make sure you don’t exceed the recommended weight load with a large and heavy screen.
Harber London Professional Desk Mat for $180: Keep your desk protected with a large desk mat like this. I’ve used several Harber London mats over the years, and this latest model is my favorite. The pebbled leather is soft and stays put, too.
Corsair Platform:6 Desk for $1400: Where do I start?I loved the Corsair standing desk because it’s roomy, has a fun pegboard design to place your knick-knacks on, and even has an interesting rail system that allows you to place and slide things across the desk, like your monitors. : Unfortunately, a few months after installing the two monitors, this rail system bent forward due to the weight I’m not the only one who feels this way.) It doesn’t help that I’ve never really found this rail that useful. The standing function works fine and you get two presets, but sometimes the little screen gives me an error message “rE5”. , it was fixed, but these are not issues anyone should be dealing with given the crazy high price. It’s just so expensive and the five year warranty seems like a slap in the face be
ErgoAV Standing Desk for $1,870: I’ve wanted a standing desk for years, so I was super excited to try this one from ErgoFx.For almost two bucks, it’s loaded with features, including a wireless charging pad that automatically lifts and swivels toward you, a five-outlet power strip, and a built-in shelf for your office. You can also control it with the companion app. Unfortunately after only a few months of using it I started having problems where the desk would get stuck at a certain height. This would happen if I didn’t adjust it for a few days. The only way to fix the problem was to unplug and plug it in again After a reset it will work again. But this problem comes back every time so I’ve given up on fixing it. It’s become more trouble than it’s worth, especially at this price. – Brenda Stolyar
