Oleksandr Usyk appeared unconcerned after being told today that Tyson Fury had promised “a lot of pain” and “damage” to him in his life. Picture of DAZN PPV meet again this Saturday night.
Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) shrugged his shoulders as if to say, ‘Whatever,’ indicating that he is not at all worried about Fury’s empty threats and that he wants to be the one to deliver the “pain” and “damage” in their rematch. at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
After what Oleksandr has done to Fury in their previous fights, it’s understandable why he’s not sweating it out for his bold speech. Tyson will have to do more than talk to worry Usyk, who is a two-time champion.
Does Fury Need a Rest?
Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) seems to be living a difficult life in the last seven months since his 12 round decision loss on May 18. Tyson seems to have been living under a bridge for the past 214 days since his defeat. He has heavy bags under the wrinkled eyes and a wizened, withered face. I’ve never seen someone look so bad in such a short amount of time.
Mentally and physically, he doesn’t seem ready to start over, but he’s being a soldier through it. You have to respect that, but they may regret it if the results are worse than last time.
Former WBC heavyweight champion Fury seems to be pushing himself too hard and needs a long break at the resort. It’s one of those places where you’re waited on hand and foot, treated to the best food, massages, and sunshine.
He will obviously take a good break after the fight, but if he loses to Usyk by knockout, he can rest. Eddie Hearn talked about Fury’s ability to quit if Usyk beats him, and you can’t stop it.
“Okay,” said Usyk in DAZN, after being told that Tyson Fury said today that he will bring “A lot of pain, a lot of pain, and break and damage” to him on Saturday.

“I thought Usyk looked very good. I’m going to Tyson Fury. I want him to win. I’m changing my thoughts and vibes to him,” said Eddie Hearn Step on itexpect Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday. “But how do you choose Oleksandr Usyk? I’m doing it because I love your country, but how do you choose him in this fight?
“If this fight is a classic and Fury wins, it’s possible we’ll see a triple. But you’re also given the opportunity for AJ to fight Fury for the world heavyweight championship, which would be huge.
“If Fury loses, he might not fight again, or he might decide to fight AJ,” Hearn said. “AJ has one, two, three or four fights left. Fury has one, two, three or four fights left. Same with Usyk.
If Fury wins, Hearn could have a chance if he decides to postpone the three-match series with Usyk and fight Anthony Joshua next. This is the smartest move Fury and his promoters can make because they can’t count on Joshua surviving another fight without being beaten again.
Joshua is tired of being put in another rebuilding position, and he will go with a good guy to regain his respect after losing to Daniel Dubois on September 21st. That’s the problem. AJ is 35 years old, not young, and his resistance to punches seems to be lacking after a long career. So, if Fury wins his fight with Usyk, he will have to convince his promoters to meet Joshua.
“A lot of these fighters are coming in at the end, but hopefully not because the new crop that’s coming in is talented. But the big names up there have been very helpful to the heavyweight division and boxing as a whole,” Hearn said.
