Both Maskell and Abrams sparked romance rumors in June 2024 when they were spotted enjoying a meal in London. In the months that followed, the pair convinced fans that they were more than just friends.

Less than a week later, Maskell expressed his hopes that he could keep his personal life a little more private. In an interview with GQThe actor said he’s “learned that now there are certain lines in the sand for me that are just going to be impenetrable for the sake of my sanity.”

“The speculation has been pretty crazy for the past X amount of years,” Maskell added about his relationship status. “I’m not comfortable ordering any kind of access to this part of my life. The way I am in my private life is so precious to me because I get very little from it, and maybe it’s a public matter, but it’s not mandatory public information.”
