Entangled Just officially added to the Disney Princess live-action lineup, coming soon! Snow White and last year The Little Mermaid:. Although there is no release date yet, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Michael Gracie (The Greatest Showman) has been tapped to direct the film.
The report confirms that Jennifer Caitlin Robinson, a writer in the upcoming Sony project I know what you did last summer sequel reboot, wrote Disney’s latest draft of the live-action script Entangledadaptation of his 2010 animated hit.
No casting for Gracey’s Entangled has yet to be announced, though it was rumored earlier this year Mean Girls: The Musical standout Avantika was in contention to lead the film as Rapunzel. The conversation inspired many racist conversations against the Indian-American actress— despite the fact that her version of Karen Shetty was a fan favorite in Lindsay Lohan’s 2004 teen movie musical adaptation (watch her performance of “Sexy” below.) Flynn Rider hasn’t been cast yet, either, but we’re glad Zachary Levi’s Disney Prince days are numbered.
