During a screening of Kelly’s film TaurusMay Tim Sutton Open up about the couple’s wedding plans. “It’s like (Kelly’s nickname is) Bridzilla more than she is because she’s been through it before,” he exclusively said us. “It became my space to work with them dramatically, to answer questions, to be there if they needed, but to give them their space.”

The actor was also candid about how making the film helped him in his personal life.

“Because of the way I grew up, I kind of push away from anyone and any situation that has a positive outcome because I just perceive myself as unworthy or low or unworthy and it’s been implemented since my childhood. I’m learning a lot more about my childhood now and why I’m made like that.” Kelly revealed during a panel. “I have a real problem with being happy and it’s good to see that on screen to remind yourself like, ‘Okay yeah, you don’t want to end up like this guy.’ I always have a weird way of writing things down on paper that come true.”

Fox, who was on stage at the time, supported her fiancé, saying: “You can’t receive the gifts that God is trying to give you if your hands are closed. You have to open your hands.”

In his Hulu documentary, Life is pinkKelly revealed that he had contemplated suicide two years before – and called Fox at his darkest moment. “I was like, ‘You’re not here for me.’ I’m in my room and I’m, like, freaking out about her,” he recalled in the film. “Dude, I put the gun in my mouth. And I’m yelling on the phone and like, the barrel is in my mouth. And I’m going to start the gun and the bullet, when they come back up, the shell just jams. Megan, like, goes completely silent.”

After the incident, Kelly’s daughter Cassie and Fox teamed up to tell him that something had to change. “(They said), ‘I want to love, to see you as my father,’ and ‘I want to see you as my future husband,’ and I was like, ‘I need to really kick the drugs this time,'” the musician explained.
