None of them Lisa VanderpumpThe restaurants are really similar, but her latest venture, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, is on a level all its own.
“We always wanted to make this place look like when you walk in, you think it’s been here forever,” the Bravo star, 64, Exclusively stated Us Weekly On Friday, December 6, after the Pinky’s grand opening. “Like, look at the floor. You’d believe this floor – I mean, it’s a handmade floor, but you’d believe this floor was something that was laid 90 years ago.”
Located inside the Flamingo on the Las Vegas Strip, Pinky’s has an old-school flair that harkens back to the days when the Rat Pack performed in Sin City. The menu has an entire section dedicated to variations on the martini, and the decor includes emerald green chandeliers that would look right at home in a high roller’s house.
“We’ve always gone for that original, old art deco that the flamingo should be,” Vanderpump explained. “And I think that’s been missing for so long, actually.”
While the name Pinky’s — especially given its presence inside the Flamingo — might conjure up images of Malibu Barbie riding a pink convertible, Vanderpump noted that she and her longtime collaborator didn’t think of toys. Nick Allen designed the space.
“Even though it’s called Pinky’s, we weren’t going to deliver a Barbie (thing),” Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alum said us. “It’s not our style at all. Pinky’s was a nod to the gangster (atmosphere), you know, ‘Come to Pinky’s, see you at Pinky’s,’ things like that. It’s about beauty, the color palettes.”
This palette does include a fair amount of pink – but not the neon hue traditionally associated with Las Vegas or the resort’s namesake bird. The large flamingo sculptures just inside the entrance are a muted shade of blush, while the bird-shaped lamps on the bar have a bronze base with pastel rose hues. Made by Allen, these light fixtures were especially loved by attendees at the Pinky’s grand opening, and Vanderpump herself can understand why.
“I actually told Nick, we made a mistake with them,” Vanderpump tweeted. “I believe we should have made three because I want one in my house. I love them so much.”
Pinky’s debut comes just months after Vanderpump opened Wolf Restaurant in Lake Tahoe, bringing her Nevada restaurant total to four (she also has the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace and Vanderpump à Paris at the Paris Hotel & Casino Las Vegas). These restaurants are all in addition to its Los Angeles establishments, SUR and TomTom, the latter of which it co-owns with Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval.
According to Vanderpump, her empire is “going to get a lot bigger” — and she teased that there’s another big announcement coming in 2025.
“There is no end goal,” she said us. “I’ll just keep going.”
Pinky’s by Vanderpump is now open at Flamingo Las Vegas.
