Paris prepares to host 50 heads of state in high-security reopening of Notre-Dame cathedral

Invitation-only ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday will mark the reopening of Paris’ Notre-Dame cathedral five years after fire reduced it to a shell. Nearly 50 world leaders are expected on Saturday, while nearly 170 bishops from France and other countries will attend an inaugural mass and the consecration of the new altar on Sunday morning.
