Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said he was surprised by Liverpool fans who are mocking his team’s poor performance and chanting about the players in charge of the club.
The home fans at Anfield chanted for Guardiola as City suffered their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat, a 2-0 defeat as part of one of the worst performances of the Spaniard’s rich reign.
Liverpool are the only team other than City to have been crowned champions in the last seven seasons, and Guardiola repeatedly responded to the crowd by holding up six fingers to show how many titles they have won in these campaigns.

Guardiola: Stadiums ‘want to fire me’
“Every club wants to get rid of me,” joked Guardiola, adding to Sky Sports that he first heard chants about his sacking from Brighton & Hove Albion supporters when City lost 2-1 at the Amex Stadium on November 9.

Liverpool ‘unstoppable’ vs Man City
